Privacy policy
Ampule has no account, no server and no analytics. Your log stays on your device.
The short version
Ampule is built by Schwartz Software Group LLC ("we", "us"). We do not collect, receive, store or transmit your health information. We could not read your injection log if we wanted to — the app has no backend to send it to, and we operate no service that receives it.
What the app stores, and where
Everything you enter — compounds, injections, doses, injection sites, notes, vials and schedules — is written to a database on your iPhone and nowhere else. It is not uploaded, mirrored or synced to us or to any third party.
If you have device backups turned on with Apple (iCloud Backup or an encrypted computer backup), Ampule's data may be included in those backups, as app data generally is. Those backups are under your Apple Account and governed by Apple's privacy policy, not ours; we have no access to them.
What we do not do
- No user accounts, sign-in or profiles.
- No analytics, telemetry, crash reporting or usage tracking.
- No advertising, no ad identifiers, no tracking across apps or websites.
- No third-party SDKs of any kind in the app.
- No selling or sharing of personal information — there is none to sell or share.
The only network connections Ampule makes are the ones iOS itself makes to the App Store to handle purchases. The app contains no other networking.
Purchases
Ampule Pro is an auto-renewable subscription sold by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles the entire transaction: payment details, billing and renewals never pass through us, and we never see your payment information. Apple provides us with aggregated, anonymised sales and subscription reports that tell us how many subscriptions exist in a region — they do not identify you.
Your subscription status is checked on-device through Apple's StoreKit. See Apple's privacy policy for how Apple handles your purchase data.
Notifications
Dose reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device by iOS. They are not push notifications: no server is involved, and the content of a reminder never leaves your iPhone. Ampule asks for notification permission only at the point you first set up a reminder, and you can revoke it at any time in iOS Settings.
Exports
CSV export is entirely under your control. When you export, iOS hands the file to the share sheet and you choose where it goes. We do not receive the file or know that you created one. Once you send an export somewhere, that destination's privacy policy applies to it.
Your data rights
Because your data never leaves your device, you exercise every right directly rather than by asking us:
| Right | How |
|---|---|
| Access and portability | Settings → Export CSV |
| Correction | Tap any entry in History to edit it |
| Deletion of an entry | Swipe to delete in History |
| Deletion of everything | Delete the app; its data is removed with it |
We hold no copy, so there is no record on our side to request, correct or erase. If you contact us by email, that email exists in our mailbox like any other correspondence — see below.
If you email us
Emailing support@ampuleapp.com means we hold your message and your email address in our support mailbox, which is hosted by Google Workspace. We use it only to answer you, and we keep support correspondence no longer than we need it. Please do not send us health details you would rather we not hold — we almost never need them to help.
Children
Ampule is not directed to children and is not intended for use by anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children — in fact we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Not medical advice
Ampule is a personal record-keeping tool. It does not provide medical advice, does not calculate or recommend doses, and does not estimate levels of anything in your body. It is not a medical device and has not been evaluated by any regulator. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider about your treatment.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will post the updated version here and change the effective date above. If a future version of Ampule ever introduces a feature that collects data — it has none today — we will update this policy before that feature ships and describe the change plainly.
